Teaching one-on-one, he said, he watched more and more students grow disillusioned, conditioned to chase happiness somewhere out in the world, and he came to believe, echoing Emerson and Wayne Dyer, that people are born connected to their authentic selves and lose that connection to overthinking and cultural programming. The book, he said, offers the practical tools that helped him reconnect, get free of addiction, and live more fully and lovingly, a message that grew out of a class he taught and that his students urged him to put into writing.The program closes with a Dr. Robert E.
