I Built My First Fence... And I Think I Found a New Hobby

What started as a much-needed backyard repair turned into one of the most rewarding projects I’ve taken on.In this episode of Sigma Duocast, I break down my experience building my first fence from the ground up—from spending weeks researching and learning on YouTube to demolition, digging post holes, setting concrete, framing, building a gate, and figuring things out when everything didn’t go exactly according to plan.I talk about the mistakes I made, the lessons I learned, the tools that got me through it, and the satisfaction of stepping back at the end and being able to say, “I built that.”But more than anything, this project gave me the confidence to take on bigger home improvement projects and may have unlocked an entirely new hobby…which unfortunately means I now have another reason to buy more tools.Sometimes you just have to do the research, make a plan, and start building.
