Anthropic's CEO Wants To Hit The Brakes On AI

Anthropic's own CEO Dario Amodei is calling for the AI industry to slow down. In his essay "We Must Pace the Frontier," Amodei warned that AI is advancing faster than safety can keep up, and committed to giving third-party evaluators permanent, employee-level access to Anthropic's systems. OpenAI's Sam Altman agreed and said OpenAI would do the same. Is the AI race finally hitting the brakes, or is it already too late?
