After years of entering (and winning) traditional awards, the Lawsons, along with Jeff Wood and Joce of Lune de Miel Studio, saw a gap. So they created an awards system inspired by the likes of the Oscars. Recognising different elements of a film, from storytelling to sound design, and giving more filmmakers a chance to be celebrated.
