Episode 227 - Carrick Is Taking Manchester United Backwards…

About this episode

Manchester City beat Liverpool, but did anything about it matter? Patrick and Neel review the weekend in the Premier League and La Liga. They start with City’s win at Anfield, Haaland’s new Abu Dhabi house and the siege mentality around the club, then ask whether Liverpool’s midfield balance and Florian Wirtz’s role are fixable. Then they turn to Manchester United’s draw with Spurs. Why do Carrick’s United keep falling for the same pressing trap, and can they create anything against a low block? Plus: whether De Zerbi’s patterns are anywhere to be seen, Mourinho’s struggling Real Madrid, and Chelsea and Fulham.
