Brown Towels

THE CHAIR (S1/Ep15) — Brown TowelsHello Beautiful People, I’m Your Host Dreme. I’m a Black woman, an educator turned tech entrepreneur but still an educator. Building a platform called THE CHAIR is a Black and Brown centered tech platform dedicated to supporting people on their hair journey. You can design hairboards, connect to hair stylists, and share hair care tips all in one space for a more joyous and streamlined experience. I built THE CHAIR Podcast to highlight hair journeys. A reminder to keep creating magic. As people sit in THE CHAIR you will get more than just hair stories. You will be immersed into experiences surrounding education, entrepreneurship, and identity. I hope you enjoy listening to my stories and the stories of my guests as we sit in THE CHAIR. THE CHAIR (S1/Ep15) — Brown TowelsI was awarded the Fulbright Grant in 2022. I was awarded the opportunity to travel to Cape Town, South Africa on the Teaching Assistantship position as a Guest Lecturer. This episode is about an ongoing interaction with the white South African host of my Airbnb and the two other Fulbrighters in the first 3 weeks of our 9 month journey in South Africa.Enjoy!
