About this episode

Hi Everyone! & thank you so much for tuning into this week's episode of Mom Mode! It has been a little white since episodes have been posted - we welcomed our second baby Lily in July and I have been adjusting as a new mom of 2 but I am so excited to continue to share these amazing mom conversations that I have been so very blessed to have.  On this week's episode, we have Rebekah Beresford on the podcast. Rebekah is a mom to 4 beautiful boys but her journey to having 4 boys did not come without some heartbreak along the way (2 babies in heaven, 1 being their little girl Eliana, who they unexpectedly lost in the 2nd trimester). Rebekah and her husband's story is filled with pain but pain that ignited a mission in them both after finding out that their daughter was discarded as medical waste due to hospital policies that they were unaware of and she ended up in a landfill. After finding this information out, Rebekah wanted to help educated grieving families and healthcare professionals that were unaware of certain hospital policies and now shares her story in order to bring awareness and give hope to those in need. Key Takeaways:Rebekah shares her experience of pregnancy loss and reflects on how being denied clear information and a chance to say goodbye to their daughter affected her grief. Grieving parents need time, compassionate support, and a safe place to talk.Fathers grieve too; dedicated support can help them share their experiences.Advocating for better bereavement education and clear communication about families’ options. How faith, community, counseling, and advocacy have supported her healing.Helpful resources for families navigating pregnancy loss and grief.
