WSU vs KSU: Upset or Uphill? | Washington State Cougars Football News

Washington State heads to Kansas State seeking redemption after a tough loss, with quarterback Caden Pinnick showing promise but costing them with turnovers. The Cougars’ defense held strong in their last game, giving them hope against KSU’s explosive offense that torched opponents for 71 points in their opener. This is their first-ever matchup — no history, just high-stakes competition. For WSU to pull off the upset, Pinnick must protect the ball and let the defense do its job. Meanwhile, Texas State looks to bounce back at home against UTSA, leaning on standout safety Ryan Nolan. And in a brutal test, Utah State faces ranked Washington — already shaky after a rough opener and with QB arm issues — making an upset feel like a long shot.
