The Oilers Need A Goalie. Now.

The Edmonton Oilers have Connor McDavid. They have Leon Draisaitl. They have the talent to compete for the Stanley Cup. So why does this team still feel like it's missing something? In this episode of Mid-Ice Crisis, Josh looks at two problems Edmonton needs to address: goaltending and forward depth. The Oilers don't necessarily need another superstar. They need an NHL-calibre goaltender who can deliver reliable saves when the games matter most. If Edmonton is serious about winning a Stanley Cup with McDavid and Draisaitl, they can't keep hoping their biggest weaknesses will fix themselves. The window is open. The question is whether the Oilers will do something about it. Is Edmonton a goalie and a depth forward away from being a legitimate Stanley Cup contender? Let us know what you think in the comments.
