Israeli Arms Cargo Faces A MAJOR French Stand-Off - And Then Another

About this episode
Right, so Israel’s arms supplier Elbit has run into a bit of a problem getting its nefarious produce to Israel. Well, if they will set up shop in other countries, that’s what you deserve to get quite frankly, if you want to get your tiny violins out and play them a dandy tune this early in the video, please don’t let me be the one to stop you. Their cargo bothers on this occasion have taken place in France and one that apparently even swapping to their own state airline couldn’t fix at that. French airport workers were alerted to the shipment and reportedly refused to handle it. Unions say the intended Air France departure fell through. El Al was lined up instead, but that flight left without the cargo as well, with the airline saying that in the end Elbit had withdrawn it. If the cargo handlers won’t handle it onto one plane, they certainly won’t bother handling it onto another after all. Meanwhile, campaigners have now asked a French court to halt the export completely. One delivery, and trouble coming at it from several directions. Aww how sad!The workers’ objection isn’t particularly mysterious of course is it? They didn’t want their labour helping supply Israel’s arms industry during what the union communiqué stated in no uncertain terms as the genocide in Gaza. The people expected to shift the hardware had the temerity to have an opinion about that and where it was going. Rather inconvenient for everyone still so conscienceless that they can still treat this as an ordinary freight booking.
