Things happening in our own lives that we simply cannot control.Some of those concerns are real.But there is a difference between recognizing danger and living in fear of it.There is a difference between being informed and being consumed.There is a difference between discernment and dread.Peter was already standing in the middle of the storm when he stepped out of the boat.The wind was already blowing.The waves were already moving.But Peter walked on the water while his eyes were fixed on Jesus.It was when his attention shifted to the storm that fear took over.Maybe sometimes the storm hasn’t gotten bigger.Maybe we’ve just been staring at it too long.Jesus never promised us a life without trouble.He gave us something greater:“In the world you have oppression; but cheer up!
