Day 269. Nahum.

Nahum announces the downfall of Nineveh, the same city that had previously repented in Jonah. This time, Nineveh’s violence, cruelty, and oppression have reached their end. The book emphasizes God’s justice against a powerful empire and brings comfort to those who have suffered under it: God sees oppression, and violent kingdoms do not last forever.
