Day 275. Matthew 1–4

Matthew begins by tracing Jesus' genealogy and recounting His miraculous birth, establishing Him as the promised Messiah and the fulfilment of prophecy. After the visit of the wise men and the family's escape to Egypt, John the Baptist prepares the way for Jesus. Jesus is baptised, withstands Satan's temptations in the wilderness, and begins preaching the arrival of the kingdom of heaven.
