About this episode

DAY 212: Isaiah 59–63Isaiah confronts the deepest problem beneath Israel’s exile: the Lord is not too weak to save, but sin has separated His people from Him. Their hands are stained, justice has collapsed, and no human rescuer can repair the breach. So God Himself acts. He puts on righteousness as a breastplate and salvation as a helmet, comes as the Divine Warrior, and promises that a Redeemer will come to Zion. Then the vision explodes outward. Zion rises and shines, nations and kings stream toward her light, scattered children return, ruins are rebuilt, captives receive liberty, mourners receive comfort, and the forsaken bride receives a new name. Isaiah 61 stands at the center as the Spirit-anointed Herald announces good news to the afflicted and the year of the Lord’s favor. Jesus explicitly declares that this promise is fulfilled in Him. He is the Redeemer, Divine Warrior, Spirit-anointed Herald, and Bridegroom. At the cross, He conquers evil by bearing judgment Himself; in His resurrection, He emerges victorious; and through His Gospel and Spirit, He gathers the nations, rebuilds what sin has ruined, and makes His people shine with reflected glory. Human righteousness cannot save. Human rescuers cannot save. So God Himself comes to save, and His salvation grows into worldwide restoration beneath the reign of Christ.CHECK IT OUT ON:SPOTIFY: https://open.spotify.com/show/6jKPORV75RzsBVOqC8IsvE?si=e1d0801259e14135APPLE PODCASTS: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/five-minute-bible/id1865075283YOUTUBE: https://www.youtube.com/@KendallLankfordLET'S CHURCH: https://lets.church/channel/five-minute-bible
