Seven Continents, One Story··17 October 2026·38 min

About this episode

In November 1780, a mule-train merchant named José Gabriel Condorcanqui stood in the Plaza de Armas in Cusco and became Túpac Amaru the Second — the name of the last free Inca emperor, executed in the same square two centuries before. What followed was the largest and most dangerous rebellion in the history of Spanish colonial America. Sixty thousand fighters. The first abolition of slavery in the Americas. And an execution so spectacular it failed at the last moment — the horses ran, and his body would not break.🙏 THIS EPISODE IS BROUGHT TO YOU BY CYPRUSREALRETURNSA huge thank you to CyprusRealReturns for supporting Seven Continents, One Story.
