Darrion Williams Returns to Texas Tech

About this episode

Darrion Williams is back in Lubbock, officially signing with Texas Tech on August 7th and ready to reignite his Red Raiders legacy. A two-time All-Big Twelve pick who once led Tech to the Elite Eight, Williams averaged 14 points per game at NC State last season while totaling over 1,600 career points, 825 rebounds, and 387 assists. He’s focused on sharpening his defense, reclaiming his rebounding prowess, and bringing relentless energy to the court. Off the floor, he’s driven by positivity — shaped by watching his brother play and his dad coach — and committed to lifting teammates through his smile and work ethic. After a reflective summer, Williams says he’s mentally and physically stronger than ever, built for consistency and poised to make a major impact this season.
