Texas Tech vs Houston Big Monday | Texas Tech Basketball News

Texas Tech’s men’s basketball team is set to shine on ESPN’s Big Monday when they host Houston on February 15, 2027 — a high-stakes matchup between two ranked teams with a heated rivalry. This isn’t their first Big Monday appearance this season, as they also face Kansas earlier in February. Last year’s close win over Houston (90-86) and Coach Grant McCasland’s leadership — including three straight NCAA Tournament appearances and four top-10 wins — fuel their momentum. Houston, meanwhile, boasts a dominant 30-win season and deep tournament runs, but Texas Tech holds the edge at home. With the Red Raiders opening their 2026-27 campaign against Jackson State, this February showdown promises to be one of the season’s most anticipated games.
