8 – LIVE: Liberal Zionism

Anthony and Caitlin were invited to present at the ‘Jewish Festival of Dangerous Ideas’, an annual event hosted by the Jewish Democratic Initiative, an organisation that describes itself as moderate, centrist, and committed to liberal values. The audience included plenty of liberal Zionists. The argument Anthony and Caitlin made was simple: you can't be both. In this episode, they debrief on how that went: the pushback they got, the responses they didn't expect, and why the contradiction at the heart of liberal Zionism has been there from the beginning. *Support the Podcast on Patreon:* patreon.com/BadJewsPodcast *Useful links mentioned in the episode:* Jewish Democratic Initiative: https://jdisa.org/pages/faq The Myth of the "Clash of Civilizations".
