Oren Veyl and The Great Infirmary of the Merciful BloomAudio Codex Entry XXVI Deep within the Weeping Greenwood stands the greatest seat of medicine in Ashenreach—a living infirmary grown from the ancient Mercy Tree. This is the story of Oren Veyl, First Phytiarch and Father of Bloomcraft. A physician who taught a living organism the anatomy of man, Oren transformed crude botanical medicine into a discipline capable of restoring shattered bone, ruined vessels, failing lungs, lost sight, and bodies once surrendered to death. As his discoveries spread, a woodland clinic became the Great Infirmary of the Merciful Bloom, drawing the sick and dying from every corner of Ashenreach. But after a lifetime spent teaching others to resist death, Oren would face a malady that neither his students nor the Mercy Tree could overcome—and leave Bloomcraft with one final lesson in the meaning of mercy.ASHENBORNE ARCHIVE is an ongoing dark-fantasy worldbuilding project exploring the histories, peoples, creatures, and forgotten places of Ashenreach through illustrated Codex entries, long-form narrative audio, and the physical Ashenborne Archive TCG.Follow Ashenborne Archive on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
