Where Do Souls Go Immediately After Death?

This is a pondering that according to early church and those afterwards said that we do not immediately go to heaven. Those who do not have Christ and those who have Christ still go to sleep in the grave and they are still under the earth with those on one side in torment and those who belong to Christ in Paradise where they are not in. torment until the resurrection.
