The clinical investigation into the gray zone between life and death. Hosted by Dr. Julian Lazarus, this podcast examines medically documented Near Death Experiences (NDEs). We move beyond ghost stories to analyze the clinical evidence of consciousness after flatlining. From the operating table to "The Tunnel" and back, these are the case files modern science cannot explain away. Join us as we interview survivors, analyze medical reports, and explore the ultimate question: What happens when the EKG goes silent? About the Host: Dr. Julian Lazarus Dr. Julian Lazarus spent two decades as a leading trauma cardiologist in metropolitan hospitals. A staunch materialist and atheist, he viewed death simply as a biological mechanism failure. That changed on October 14, 2008. During a chaotic emergency procedure, a patient flatlined for nearly nine minutes. Despite zero brain activity, the revived patient later described the specific surgical instruments used and repeated conversations between nurses that occurred while they were clinically dead. Unable to reconcile this event with his medical training, Dr. Lazarus left the operating room to dedicate his life to the study of consciousness post-mortem. He now leads The Lazarus Initiative, gathering and analyzing case studies of those who have crossed over and returned. He is the author of The Flatline Protocol and the host of The Lazarus Report.
