What If I'm Not Behind?

About this episode
There is a strange pressure that comes with being in your twenties.
You are constantly told that this is the time to build your career, find love, become financially independent, start a family and figure out who you are. And when everyone around you seems to be reaching those milestones, it can feel like you're falling behind.
But what if there is nowhere you actually need to catch up to?
In this episode of Sacred Self Studio, Ntando reflects on the unexpected turns her twenties have taken, from leaving social work to discovering technology, storytelling and digital marketing, to navigating love and relationships as a queer woman.
She talks about the invisible achievements that don't always look impressive from the outside, the pressure to measure queer relationships against heteronormative timelines, and the things she has learned about herself along the way.
After learning of the death of a childhood friend, the question changes.
Instead of asking, "When will I catch up?"
Ntando begins asking:
"What am I rushing towards?"
And perhaps more importantly, "Am I actually present for the life I'm living right now?"
